There are all sorts of different plumbing problems that need the attention of a plumber, from leaky pipes to water pressure issues. Some cheap and easy to repair; others costly. 1. Smelly Drains
Obviously, in your kitchen or bathroom there are plenty of things that can cause your drain to smell. However, if your drain smells continuously and for a long period of time it could be an warning that your sewer line is blocked or damaged.

You toilet should be quiet most of the time, unless you've just flushed it, so if you hear gurgling noises coming from your loo, it could be a sign that there's a problem with the

Obviously, during some months you may use more water, for example on your garden during the summer. However, if you have an unexplained rise in your water bill when you aren't expecting it then it could be a sign that something is wrong. Get a plumber in to investigate and check for leaks in your system.
4. Low Water Pressure

If you notice brown spots on your ceiling then chances are there's water above it. So before you go to the expense of painting or even plastering, you should get a plumber to investigate and locate the source of the leak.
